What You’ll Do:
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the quality and integrity of our historic estate. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing daily maintenance and emergency repairs in guest rooms, spa, restaurant, and public areas.

• Troubleshooting and servicing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems.

• Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks across the property.

• Responding quickly to service requests from guests and staff.

• Managing tools, supplies, and equipment to ensure a well-stocked and organized maintenance area.

• Assisting with seasonal tasks and event setups.

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years of relevant maintenance experience (hospitality or commercial preferred)

• Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and general repairs

• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks independently

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces

• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

• Team-player attitude with excellent communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver a variety of spa services (body treatments, massages, etc.) in a safe and comfortable manner

• Maintain equipment and sample inventory of products

• Keep a clean and stocked room

• Acknowledge and respond to relevant customer queries, needs and expectations

• Suggest and promote retail products or additional services

• Uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations

• Cooperate with and report on administration on any arising issues

• Apply best practices and be up to date with market trends

• Upsell lotions, creams and other skin care products

• Train new therapists as they join our staff

• Build and retain a solid client base

Qualifications:

• Virginia Therapist license required

• Minimum of two years experience

• Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings

• Self-motivated and customer service-oriented

• Proven work experience as a Spa therapist

• Hands on experience in massage techniques and face/body therapies

• Communication and customer service skills

• Ability to sell products to our clients based on the products you use while rendering services

• Assist with all day-to-day operations of the front desk, concierge, and reservations. Communicate with guests on all levels. 

• Provide focused, customized service with a clear understanding of anticipatory guest service. 

• Deliver, assist and set up room service trays.

Evening hours beginning at 3pm with possible days. Compensation: Salary begins at $17 (commensurate with experience). Full-time.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Professional and gracious communication via email, phone, and in person with our guests.

• Receive and record dining reservations or respond to general inquiries via telephone or the online reservation system. Resy.com

• Table management, organizing the evening's floor plan, controlling the flow of the dining room, and constantly communicating with managers as to when tables are needed back for the next reservations.

• Seat guests as needed to ensure reservation times are met, and guests are treated appropriately.
